Wir sind RIMA e.V., ein kleiner Verein für unmittelbare Nothilfe. Wir sammeln Spenden und helfen damit Familien in syrischen und libanesischen Camps, die so gut wie nichts haben. Wir retten sie vor dem Verhungern und geben ihnen ein bisschen Würde und Hoffnung zurück. Einige Familien haben es dank unserer Hilfe bereits geschafft, sich aus dem Elend herauszukämpfen. Wir helfen auch einer syrischen Mutter, "Rima", und ihren zwei kleinen Kindern, die fast vier Jahre lang in Istanbul gestrandet war und dort keine Aufenthaltsgenehmigung erhielt. Die Familie lebte in ständiger Angst vor Deportation zurück in das nordsyrische Kriegsgebiet, womöglich sogar vor gewaltsamer Trennung zwischen Mutter und Kindern. 

Gleichzeitig ist Rima unser Schlüssel zu denjenigen Menschen in Syrien und im Libanon, die wir unterstützen. Sie vermittelt Gespräche mit ihnen und trifft, zusammen mit unserem Team vor Ort, die Auswahl, wem wir zuallererst helfen müssen.

+++ Am Morgen des zweiten Advents, 08.12.2024, erreichte uns die Nachricht von Rima und aus den Medien, dass Diktator Assad, verantwortlich für den Tod von über 200 000 Menschen, für Chemie-Angriffe und Foltergefängnisse, das Land verlassen hat. Syrien schlägt damit ein neues, hoffentlich freies und demokratisches Kapitel auf. Unsere Arbeit geht weiter, da die Armut und der mangelnde Zugang zu Zukunftschancen nach wie vor bekämpft werden müssen. Es bleibt aber zu hoffen, dass die Syrerinnen und Syrer jetzt zumindest nicht mehr aus der Luft von russischen Flugzeugen angegriffen werden. +++

+++ Am 01.05.2025 haben wir endlich Rima und ihre beiden Söhne am Frankfurter Flughafen in Empfang nehmen können. Jahrelang haben wir uns um eine Aufenthaltsgenehmigung in der EU bemüht. Dank anwaltlicher Hilfe aus Bad Arolsen haben Rima und ihre Kinder jetzt zumindest eine befristete Aufenthaltsgenehmigung für Luxemburg. Wir sind zuversichtlich, dass Rima diese Chance auf ein besseres Leben nutzen wird. +++

We are RIMA e.V., a small association for immediate emergency aid. We collect donations and use them to help families in Syrian and Lebanese camps who have next to nothing. We save them from starvation and give them back some dignity and hope. Thanks to our help, some families have already managed to fight their way out of misery. We are also helping a Syrian mother, “Rima”, and her two young children, who had been stranded in Istanbul for almost four years and had not been granted a residence permit. The family lived in constant fear of deportation back to the northern Syrian war zone, possibly even of violent separation between mother and children.

At the same time, Rima is our key to the people in Syria and Lebanon who we support. She arranges meetings with them and, together with our team on the ground, decides who we need to help first and foremost.

+++ On the morning of the second Advent, 8 December 2024, we received the news from Rima and the media that dictator Assad, responsible for the deaths of over 200,000 people, chemical attacks and torture prisons, has left the country. Syria is thus opening a new, hopefully free and democratic chapter. Our work continues, as poverty and the lack of access to future opportunities must still be combated. It remains to be hoped, however, that the Syrians will at least no longer be attacked from the air by Russian aeroplanes. +++

+++ On 01.05.2025 we were finally able to receive Rima and her two sons at Frankfurt Airport. We had been trying for years to obtain a residence permit in the EU. Thanks to legal help from Bad Arolsen, Rima and her children now have at least a temporary residence permit for Luxembourg. We are confident that Rima will take advantage of this opportunity for a better life. +++

نحن منظمة RIMA e.V، وهي منظمة صغيرة للمساعدات الطارئة المباشرة. نقوم بجمع التبرعات لمساعدة العائلات في المخيمات السورية واللبنانية التي لا تملك شيئاً. نحن ننقذهم من المجاعة ونعيد لهم القليل من الكرامة والأمل. وبفضل مساعدتنا، تمكنت بعض العائلات بالفعل من شق طريقها للخروج من البؤس. كما أننا نساعد أم سورية تدعى ”ريما“ وطفليها الصغيرين الذين تقطعت بهم السبل في إسطنبول منذ ما يقرب من أربع سنوات ولم يتم منحهم تصريح إقامة. عاشت الأسرة في خوف دائم من الترحيل إلى منطقة الحرب في شمال سوريا، وربما حتى من الانفصال العنيف بين الأم وطفليها.

وفي الوقت نفسه، ريما هي مفتاحنا للأشخاص الذين نساعدهم في سوريا ولبنان. فهي ترتب الاجتماعات معهم، وتقرر مع فريقنا على الأرض من نحتاج إلى مساعدتهم أولاً وقبل كل شيء.

+++ في صباح يوم المجيء الثاني، 8 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2024، تلقينا الأخبار من ريما ووسائل الإعلام أن الديكتاتور الأسد، المسؤول عن مقتل أكثر من 200 ألف شخص وعن الهجمات الكيميائية وسجون التعذيب، قد غادر البلاد. وهكذا تفتح سوريا فصلًا جديدًا نأمل أن يكون حرًا وديمقراطيًا. لا يزال عملنا مستمراً، حيث لا يزال يتعين علينا مكافحة الفقر وانعدام فرص الوصول إلى الفرص المستقبلية. ويبقى الأمل، مع ذلك، أن لا يتعرض السوريون على الأقل لهجمات من الجو من قبل الطائرات الروسية. +++

+++ في 1 مايو 2025، تمكنا أخيرًا من استقبال ريما وابنيها في مطار فرانكفورت. كنا نحاول منذ سنوات الحصول على تصريح إقامة في الاتحاد الأوروبي. وبفضل المساعدة القانونية من باد أرولسن، حصلت ريما وأبناؤها الآن على تصريح إقامة مؤقتة على الأقل في لوكسمبورغ. نحن واثقون من أن ريما ستستفيد من هذه الفرصة لحياة أفضل. +++
